We are thrilled to share an exciting development from Zhejiang Energy Marine Environmental Technology (ZEME). ZEME has recently signed a $150 million investment agreement with the Free Trade Zone of Zhangjiagang City, acquiring Zhangjiagang Jiusheng Shipyard, which will be renamed Zhejiang Energy Ship Heavy Industry (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

This strategic acquisition strengthens ZEME’s all-round turnkey service capabilities, expanding into shipbuilding, repair, and conversion with a focus on green shipping solutions. The shipyard will play a crucial role in supporting ZEME’s well-established scrubber system, along with supporting other innovative solutions such as shaft generator retrofits, carbon capture systems, AMP retrofitting, and a range of additional technologies offered by ZEME.

Backed by Zhejiang Energy Group’s financial and technological expertise, this move demonstrates ZEME’s commitment to becoming a leader in the entire green shipping chain. With recent successes like the methanol dual-fuel retrofit on MV Ling Xian 1, ZEME is positioned to drive innovation in marine environmental technology.
