Another Successful Installation at GWD!

We were recently on-site at Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard (GWD), overseeing the installation of another Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) on board our client’s Newcastlemax bulker. This marks yet another step in a series of VFD installations across their fleet—an important move towards greater energy efficiency and operational flexibility.

At the same time, we had the opportunity to check in on the ongoing installation on a container ship of a 3MW shaft generator for another shipowner. With demand for shaft generator retrofits on the rise, it’s great to see shipowners actively embracing energy-saving solutions that align with evolving regulations and decarbonization goals.
